Terry dropped us this nice little competition to announce the release of Madd's new all terrain scoot - the MGP XT. Terry took his shiny new XT to the highest spot in dartmoor and then cruised for as long as gravity would take him. To be in with a chance of grabbing some Madd swag, can you guess how far he went, or even better - Beat him!?
Click on the pic to head over to Terry's Facebook to guess how many feet he travelled
And check out the video of Terry's record below...
Well here at Scoot Mag we've been waiting for this one. After Lewis spent some time with his Phoenix homies a few months ago out in the US, he came back telling us about some exciting stuff in the pipe line for 2013. The Phoenix Session deck was one of the things on his hot list.
Anyway, I won't make you read about all the details. Here is Phoenix own Evan Larson to show you.
Jessee Ikedah has been working with Blunt/Envy to bring you the fork of his dreams, and most probably yours too.
First the technical bit:
Cold Forged 6061 alloy
New version of IHC
Built in crown race
Available in White, green, red, black, blue, purple, raw.... and probably some other colours too.
Designed to be perfect for foot jams
Jessee totally kills it in the promo edit, so many bangers and quiet a few bruises in the making I would think. Jessee clearly isn't scared to through himself off anything as long as he has a scooter under his feet! One of the comments on youtube pretty much sum's this edit up....... "that last stair set I wouldn't even walk down"
Now you've read that you can skip straight to the riding bit at 1:53
While out at ISPO in Germany last week, we got to see the launch of a whole new range of MADDness (<<<see what I did there...genius) from MGP. Part of this range includes these patriotic pieces of sexiness from THE Terry Price himself. We've seen Terry rocking the prototypes for a while, but now finally get to see them in all their British glory. We're told they'll be hitting the shops later this month. Thinking about it, I might have a chat with Mr Price and see if we can give a set away in the next issue of Scoot Mag.
In the meantime, can you all be upstanding for the national anthem...
You all know this kid right? Yep its Scoot Mag's very own Dom Olorenshaw shredding the new AO Epslion. Dom has been out in California for a few weeks, in the Elyts house while filming this and plenty more with the AO team. I've got a feeling we are going to be seeing more and more of Dom in 2013! STOKED!!!
So, in case you didn't know, everyone wants a dirt scooter! Well the Razor/ Phase 2 has been in testing for an eternity and its finally ready to be unleashed!
John Radtke held a super special launch party in his back yard and invited a bunch of the big Californian names to come give the scooter a whirl, and it would seem that they like it!
As for the product, it is definitely the tightest looking one of its kind. It is clear that a lot of time and effort went into making it as tidy as possible, It also maintains a more classic scooter look, just with bigger wheels, over some of its more industrial looking competitors. Unfortunately i never got to ride it when it was in the UK, but with no complaints from the pros, and a sweet £250 price tag, I'm sure it will be super popular.
Take a peek at the chilled out launch video...
Mr Dylan Myers has just dropped this video explaining the wonders hidden inside the new Slamm Mischief.
He shows you what's cracking with their custom IHC system then does a little drop test with it to show of it's basketball-ness!
And to be fair, for the money I don't think there is another scooter out there as dialled, sounds like a beaut! Great to see Slamm pushing what the market forward! check it aaaaaaaaaaaaaaat....
You all know that Elyts is one of the biggest apparel companies in the game, and they are about to drop their signature product - The ELYTS Mid Top Shoe.
If you have run into Zig Short, Luke Painter or BenJ in the last 6 months, you will have seen a rigourously tested pair of these on their feet. Well now the testing is over and they are heading to a store near you!
Hit the Jump for all the details of this ground breaking (get it!) shoe!
Raptor is Sunshine's (Elyts, 841, AO, etc) latest brand to drop in the UK. Their first products to hit our shelves are some pimpin' new grips - "Claws" and "Scales" . These badboys feature 50% extra thickness over most BMX grips and Raptor claim that they will last up to 6 months! The extra thickness may take some getting used to, but im sure it will offer superior shock absorption, and with heavy hitters like luke painter on the team, no doubt they were designed with that in mind!
Hit Play for Raptor rider Corey Vanlew having a chinwag about them:
Check out Madd Gear's Terry Price bossin some new headphones from Razer. Thats Razer with an "E"
Sweet little street edit of Terry filmed by Ricky Johnson. Now where can i get myself a set of these.
Slamm scooters have made a pretty sick promo for their new model called the 'Mischief'.
Simon Roduit got flew in from switzerland to film a day in London.
This is what he got!
Here we have the new grind rail made and manufactured by Eighty One Customs with none other than their own team rider Brad Ackerman testing it out. He shreds this rail and finishes with a banger that is whip to board slide to bar twist out!
To be released very soon! So watch this space!
Lewis Crampton is one of my favourite UK riders and from time to time writes and rides for us at Scoot Mag. Lewis is now working with a sick new clothing brand by the name of Uniun. Love Lewis, Love the branding, love the clothing, love this edit. Such a boss! I can't wait for Uniun to hit the shops, put me down for one of everything. The scooter industry is crying out for clothing/apparel brands, with this look and Lewis on board, Uniun is sure to be a success.
Check out their facebook and website for more details.
While Lewis is over with Phoenix Pro rider Josh Kish, Josh has filmed this scooter check. Josh is rocking the Scoot Mag sticker on his bars, good lad!! Seems like he's pretty pumped for the US edition of Scoot Mag to hit the shops. Its about time we saw a Josh Kish Pro model Reventon I think ;)
That's a pretty sweet set up..... Take a look!
Here is just a taste of what 81 Customs have for you in 2012. Soooo much choice! Can't wait to sesh one of those rails! Loving the new look 81 Customs logo too.
Here at scoot mag we don't seem to be a big fan of scooter checks unless they're funny. For example this one right here with R-Willy and Terry from MGP showing us their new dialled setups featuring the new End of Days products! Good jokes should go into scooter checks like Ryan didn't know what to call his forks and in another funny scooter check from MGP rider Robin Wass saying he has speed holes that makes his deck similar to a jet engine.
watch it here!
As many of you will already know, Elyts is STYLE backwards. Well its clear from this lot that these boys got style.
The Scooter scene has been lacking its own clothing brands, but Elyts are the 1st to change that. Finally, Scooter clothing, for scooter riders.
Just in time for spring Elyts is releasing its new line of cut & sewn apparel: The quality and workmanship is exceptional and all items are loaded with details, embroideries and appliqués. T-Shirts are made of 100 % combed cotton which gives them a very soft feel, the hooded sweatshirts are made of 80 % cotton and 20 % polyester for the perfect balance of comfort and long lasting fit.
I think we need to have a word with the guys at Elyts, and see if we can get our hands on some of these, to run a comp for you guys to win.....After I've picked what i want ;)

I was just flicking through some of the photos our photographer took at NASS and came across these. Its clearly the new Grit Elite. It looks so sick! There appears to be some upgrades including, new handle bars, new extrusion on the deck, and some pretty fit looking wheels. The photographer said he picked it up and it was super light. I love the new colours too.
More details will follow. We'll get our hands on one and give it a full review soon.

The new MGP Nitro has now hit the shops and is looking fresh! Madd Gear have made some nice little tweaks to the already sexy beast!
The first and most obvious change is the coloured core MGP Areo wheels. Next is the cut out lighter forks, then there is the new parterned grip tape, and of course the flex fender style brake that came on some of the late models before these big changes.
That's what you can see on the out side, take a closer look and you'll see some improvements on the side too. Undo the collar clamp and remove the bars and you'll find the new nitro compression system. At first glance it looks like the original HIC, but remove the top cap and you'll see the long threaded bolt with the nut in to under side on the fork have gone. Madd have now gone with a more simple and affect threaded internal fork, shim and thread top cap.
This new system is so simple but works really well. Big thumbs up on this one Madd.
Scooter legend Zig Short started a new wheel company, 841 wheels. Him and his team riders tested wheels for over 5 months, went through countless urethanes, hubs and bearings until they found the perfect compound, cores and durometer. The result are scooter wheels that offer the ultimate combination of durability, fast speed and solid grip. 841 wheels are made of high rebound urethane with a durometer of 88A and feature solid aluminum core, which is essential for serious pro riders. They come in 100 and 110 mm and are equipped with high precision ABEC 7 bearings and spacers.

Scoot-Mag.com wrist bands arrive
Grit have made some improvements to the new Grit Elite at no extra cost.
The original version has a standard threaded fork and headset. This is a proven method for a scooter headset and is used by most brands of scooters in a similar price bracket. The problem is that over time the head becomes loose. This is because the threaded headset used on scooters was inspired by bikes. The difference being that bike handle bars aren’t constantly being spun round like we do on our scooters. Although this threaded system works fine, the headset comes loose quite easily and needs regular tightening. This is a simple job but does require a headset spanner to do it properly.
Madd Gear team up with Eagle to make these little fittys!
The new international team pro range wheels have a solid core and lazer etching.
Madd say “These will be the be the best wheels out there, period” and we’re inclined to believe them.

We’ve just got our hand on the JD BUG Pro Extreme V2.0. It’s the latest addition to the Pro Series range.
Although its design is based around the Original Pro Street JD Bug (MS130B) this is a brand new model that has upgraded components that are not seen on any other scooter for less than £100. Riders using JD Bug scooters are pushing the limits more and more so the Pro Extreme V2.0 includes JD’s new metal core wheels. These make sure that the scooter can cope with the demands put on it and offer the ultimate ride.
out the legendary Urban Kreation team rider, Terry Price in this
awesome edit. He pulls some sick moves that we don’t think have ever
been seen before. It is amazing what this guy manages to do.
spent the day in his Essex hometown testing out some of their jeans
which claim to be more than 5 x stronger than steel. This is a radical
new concept in protective clothing because it offers hidden protection
that is perfect as fashionable casual wear. They look like ordinary
jeans but use the same technology that was developed by NASA for their
Mars space landing. They are designed to give heat, abrasion and impact
resistance to reduce heat burns, scarring and scratching to the skin in
all of the protected areas. No-one likes carpet burn.
goes to show you don’t have to look like an armadillo to be protected
but you will need some serious guts to try and pull some of the moves
that Terry does. Unfortunately what the jeans don’t offer is super hero
